Bearing Fruit

ccBearing Fruit

Awakening, our Savior hungry walked along
the road with flowing robe and flowing hair,
fair sky upon His face to Jerusalem. Coming up
to a fig tree full with leaves but void of fruit,
bearing reference to the prophecy of Habakkuk
of the end time where hardship would prevail:
bellies tremble and lips quiver. He used the tree
void of fruit but rooted in earth with leaves to reveal
the beast and withered it into the ground.

Coming up to it so and cursing it so as an illustration
of what it means to have roots but no fruit.
God’s children were meant to have fruit,
fruit of the Spirit, to catch fire and burn
with a flame that gets hotter and does not burn out
fueled by the Holy Ghost and the power of Jesus.
[Like the burning bush that Moses saw was not consumed,
God used to arrest this dumbfounded fugitive shepherd.
That it was time for God to claim His nation and set them
free from Egypt’s noxious yoke and move forward with
His coming here among evil men to rescue them
from sin. No place for complacency In God’s Kingdom]
and each to bear the fruit The Holy Spirit has for them.

Likewise did not God make a vine to shelter Jonah
from heat outside Nineva, but next day withered it away
with a worm, unhappy with spoiled, froward Jonah
who requested God take his life, all the while God
was rejoicing one hundred twenty thousand plus,
Ninevites repented and turned from evil.
Here even now how God is no respecter of persons
